Edu Kit

One of the most common questions asked is, "where can you see Valley Children's Museum programs?" As the Museum awaits the opening of its doors, it proudly offers the Moving Mission and classroom education kits (Edu-Kits) in Tri-Valley classrooms today.

The first Edu-Kit, titled Seeing Is Believing?, opens children's eyes to the magic of optical illusion, including light, mirrors, and color. The program is designed to address state education standards while giving students the opportunity to explore and learn. This program is ideal for a 1st or 2nd grade classroom. Debbie Emerson, teacher at John Baldwin Elementary, has used the program for three consecutive years. Gigi Ho, Science Specialist at John Baldwin, recently wrote in a letter to the VCM, "thank you for such a great program. The students gained invaluable knowledge and experience with light sources while enjoying the funhouse exhibit." The Museum is proud to offer Seeing Is Believing? to schools throughout the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and Pleasanton Unified School District. Seeing Is Believing? is offered free of charge to teachers, on a first come first serve basis, thanks to grants from the City of San Ramon, City of Pleasanton, and Smith Barney Citicorp.
